Rug Tufting Workshop

About Our Class

Our rug tufting class offers a hands-on experience in crafting custom rugs using tufting guns. The class covers the essentials of operating the tufting gun, practicing different techniques, and managing challenges like yarn tension. As students work through their designs, they receive guidance on creating even, well-crafted rugs. By the end, students will have their own handcrafted rug and the skills to continue tufting independently. Anyone 12 years and older and capable to handle small machineary are more than welcome to attend our class!

What Does Our Workshop Include?

Prior to the class we will have your station prepared for you with everything you will need such as your frame, reference image, tufting machine, yarn threader, and tweezers. There is only one person per station, if you would like to book for multiple people you will need to purchase more than one ticket. We will start with a 30 minute instructional walk through to get you started and our lead instructor will be there every step of the way to help with personalized support. After our workshop our team will glue, back, trim, and clean the edges of the piece. Our team will contact you via email when your rug is ready to be shipped with a copy of your tracking number in order to track your rug.

Rules Of Our Workshop

Our workshop is a fun and creative space where you can create are and make connections with new people but we do have a few rules to keep everyone safe during your time with us. Must be 12 years and older and able to operate small machinary in order to participate in our course. If you have long hair or plan to wear dangly jewelry please tuck in any necklaces or tie hair back so that it does not get caught in the gun. We will have hair ties available for your convenience. Intoxication of any sort is prohibited and will cause you to be denied entry to our workshop as we are dealing with light machinary which can cause injuries to yourself and or others. Lastly our waivers must be signed electronically or in person prior to entry to our workshop.

Picture Guidelines

All image submissions must be single dimensional with distinct color blocking. We will contact you via email with do's and don'ts of image submissions.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need experience?

No! This a beginner friendly class. By the end of the class, students typically leave with a completed small rug or wall hanging, along with the skills to continue tufting on their own.

Is there parking available?

Yes! There is ample free parking space available in the outdoor parking lot.

What should I bring?

Just bring yourself and be prepared to engage in the creative experience of making your very own rug! We will provide everything you will need including free snacks and refreshments. 

When will I receive my completed rug?

All rugs will be shipped out 7-10 days post class. This is due to our team handling the finishing process of your piece such as gluing, shaving and backing your rug!

What size rug will I be making?

You will be creating a 22in x 22in rug depending on your reference image!
